Jasper Doest Wildlife Photographer

I just wanted to post about this fantastic wildlife photographer.  If you have not seen his work before then I suggest that you have a look.  This is his website: http://www.doest-photography.com

Jasper’s photography is always about emotion, wherever he is in the world.  He looks at wildlife from a view point that I find very interesting and different.  Capturing the essence of the animal and the habitat that it is within.  He has received numerous recognition for his work, especially with the image that I am showing you here:

This is entitled ‘Snow Moment’ winning Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013.  A fantastic and breath taking moment, all captured in one image.  Fantastic is all I have to say.  I hope you enjoy it too!

To end, a word from Jasper Doest written by the Guardian.

Advice: Ask yourself what it is that makes your heart beat faster and go after that.

My Latest Venture!!!!

Hi All,

Its been an amazing Summer for photography, fantastic weather, although now its not looking so good.  But it does allow you to take some different and interesting images.  I have had a very busy time recently and I have not worked on my own photography as much as I would have liked.  Although this will be about to change…

My most recent venture has been to start my own Greetings Card business.  I am currently stocking them in a local shop and hope to soon move it into more locations and online.  They are made on a high quality fine art card and I print them myself using inkjet.  I have put my first images of what I currently have in stock on my facebook page.  If you havn’t seen my fb page before, Now is the time!!!  Have a look and comment, hopefully like and let me know anything you would like to see more of.  Here is the link below if you hav’t looked!!!

Hope you are all well and there will be more coming soon…

Best wishes

More Daffodils!!!

Hi All,

Here are some more daffodils that I have taken during this beautiful weather.  It has been perfect for it and I am very happy with the results.  I also worked with a little bit of close-up photography, as you can see.  All of these images were shot on the Canon 600D.  Let me know what you think 🙂

Spring is here: Daffodil

Hi All,

Seeing as the weather is getting better in the UK. The sun is out and so are the daffodils. I have been out in the sun, taking a variety of images. Here is one, more are to come.
I took this image on the canon 600D, with the standard 18 – 55mm lens. I found this allowed me to get close to the subject and experiment. I was mainly looking at lighting and angles with this image.

Let me know what you think.
